
Calvillo and Greene Named CFL Players of the Week

Montreal, June 25, 2003 - The Alouettes took where they left off in 2002 when they won their first two regular season games of 2003 on the road. The CFL announced today that quarterback Anthony Calvillo and return specialist Donta Greene were respectively named offensive and special team players of the week.
In both wins, Calvillo completed 39 of 69 passes for gains of 559 yards and a touchdown pass. He led his team to an incredible comeback in the first game in Calgary putting the offence in excellent field position in the fourth quarter. In the second game in Edmonton, Calvillo led his offence to a second win in five days.
Greene surprised everybody, especially in the second game in Edmonton when he gained 182 yards on eight punt returns. He also gained 15 yards on a kickoff return.
