Quad Cities River Bandits News Release
The Swing of the Quad Cities are asking for help from baseball fans throughout the area!
As most people know by now, the "Untitled Dominican Baseball Project" is shooting in the Quad Cities over the next month, the majority of which will take place in the Davenport area. The Swing of the Quad Cities will serve as the main team in the film, but the producers of the project want to have as many additional real teams as possible. They are reaching out to the rest of the Midwest League and are trying to get cooperation from them as well.
In addition the filmmakers are actively trying to get the River Bandits represented in the film, and are looking for any home and away uniforms (hats, pants, socks, jersey's, etc) that they can find.
There are many loyal Quad Cities baseball fans in the area that still have River Bandits gear, and their cooperation and assistance would be sincerely appreciated!
If you have a uniform or a part of a uniform and are willing to make them available for the movie, please contact Swing Director of Baseball Operations Bob Evans. ALL VOLUNTEERED RIVER BANDITS GEAR WILL BE RETURNED TO ITS OWNER IN THE CONDITION THAT IT WAS RECEIVED.
Those who lend their property to the makers of the movie will receive priority when extras are sought to play in the film.
