TONIGHT'S GAME
Tonight the Calgary Roughnecks wrap up a two-game homestand when the Rochester Knighthawks visit the Scotiabank Saddledome for Red & White Night, presented by OUTLOUDYYC. Both clubs are looking to end winless streaks as the Roughnecks have lost their last three games and the Knighthawks their last two including a 17-6 road loss in Toronto last weekend. Calgary's trio of defeats include back-to-back overtimes losses, most recently a 12-11 setback to the Saskatchewan Rush on Feb. 28 at the 'Dome. Through the first half of the regular season, Curtis Dickson is leading the Roughnecks' offence with 48 points (25g, 23a). Jeff Shatter (12g, 24a), Tyler Digby (20g, 15a) and rookie Wesley Berg (12g, 20a) are the other top scorers for Calgary. Former league MVP Cody Jamieson tops Rochester with 42 points (13g, 29a) in seven games while Dan Dawson (17g, 16a), Cory Vitarelli (12g, 5a), Stephen Keogh (7g, 10a) and Joe Resetarits (6g, 9a) are also top contributors.

NOTEWORTHY
VS ROCHESTER: Today marks the first and only regular season meeting between the Roughnecks and Knighthawks. Last season the two clubs met twice with Rochester taking both contests by a combined 25-18. Former Roughneck Shawn Evans led Calgary with 13 points (6g, 7a) in the two-game series against Rochester while Joe Walters topped the Knighthawks with four goals and six assists against the Roughnecks.

FORMER CLUBS: The Roughnecks used their sixth overall selection in the 2012 NLL Draft to take Joe Resetarits. The righty forward, now in his second season with Rochester, recorded eight goals and 16 assists along with 24 loose balls in 14 games during his rookie campaign with Calgary. Former Knighthawk defender Tyler Burton, signed to Calgary's practice roster on Feb. 19, was activated last weekend against the Saskatchewan Rush and scored his first goal as a member of the 'Necks in a 12-11 overtime loss. Burton spent parts of four seasons with Rochester (2011-14) where he earned two Champion's Cups in 2012 and 2013.
CREASE CONNECTION: Last weekend goaltender Mike Poulin registered his first start since Mar. 14, 2015, where he logged just over 46 minutes between the pipes against the Knighthawks. Frankie Scigliano stepped in in the final quarter as the pair combined for 28 saves in a 13-7 home loss to Rochester.

MID-WAY POINT: The Roughnecks now begin the second half of their 18-game regular season following a 3-6 record through the opening nine games. Last season Calgary was 2-7 after nine games played. In 2014, when the NLL expanded from 16 to 18 regular season games, the Roughnecks were 6-3 through the first half of the campaign.
DID YOU KNOW?: Roughnecks bench boss Curt Malawsky began his NLL playing career in Rochester in 1998. He spent six of his 12 playing seasons with the Knighthawks before joining Calgary's coaching staff in the summer of 2009.
SPECIAL TEAMS: Calgary and Rochester's power play units are tied for fifth in the NLL at 50.0% with the Roughnecks netting the second-most power play goals at 24 while the Knighthawks have scored 15. Calgary's penalty kill is fourth in the league at 50.0% with the Roughnecks conceding the second-most power play markers at 25 while the Knighthawks' seventh-ranked penalty kill (42.5%) has allowed 23 goals.

GOLDEN BOND: Last fall Roughnecks forward Curtis Dickson suited up for Team Canada in the 2015 FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championship. Four members of the Knighthawks joined Dickson on the gold medal-winning squad in goaltender Matt Vinc, forward Dan Dawson and defenders Scott Campbell and Paul Dawson.
TOP 10: Curtis Dickson's team-leading 25 goals place him tied for third among all players and his 48 points sit sixth. Of his 25 goals, seven have come on the power play (tied for fifth among all players) while his three shorthanded markers are tied for the league lead. Greg Harnett's two game-winning goals lead all defencemen and place him tied for second among all players. Dan MacRae has a team-leading 15 caused turnovers, ranked fifth among all league defencemen. His nine points (3g, 6a) on the season are tied for fifth among all defenders. Mike Poulin sits third among all goaltenders with a 10.92 goals-against average while fellow netminder Frankie Scigliano's 12.58 goals-against average ranks eighth.
TRADE WINDS: Oct.26 - Acquired forward Tyler Digby, a first-round pick in the 2018 NLL Draft and a first-round selection in 2019 from the New England Black Wolves in exchange for forward Shawn Evans and a 2018 third-round pick; Dec. 28 - Acquired transition player Brandon Goodwin from the Buffalo Bandits in exchange for defenceman Mitch de Snoo.
