Calgary Hitmen News Release
Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen and Calgary Flames together with Canada Safeway Ltd. and Prostate Cancer Canada are excited to continue to support Movember, a month to fight prostate cancer.
Both Hitmen and Flames players and staff will grow moustaches during the month of November to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer.
"Our hockey club is excited to continue to be part of Movember," comments Hitmen captain Cody Sylvester. "The team recognizes the importance of supporting Prostate Cancer Canada and we encourage all fans to become active participants in this great cause."
"A lot of the guys on the team grew moustaches last year for Movember," says Flames forward Mikael Backlund. "We had a ton of fun competing against each other while raising money for a very worth worthy cause in Prostate Cancer Canada."
The funds raised in Canada through Movember support programs run directly by Movember and Prostate Cancer Canada. Together, the two channels work to ensure that Movember funds support a broad range of innovative, world-class programs.
Throughout the month at all Hitmen home games Canada Safeway Ltd. will supply prizing to fans who correctly answer the Movember in-game promo questions.

Fans are also encouraged to be part of the inaugural Hitmen Mo Bro challenge. Starting Friday, November 11, Mo Bro candidates will be unveiled at all Hitmen home games. Following the Remembrance Day game, fans can cast votes at www.hitmenhockey.com to decide which Mo Bro will be the first to be inducted into the Hitmen Mo of Fame.
