Blades Notes

- After a strong month of October, Blades defenceman Darren Dietz has been voted as the Heinrichs Jewellers player of the month. In 11 games in October, Dietz registered 2 goals, 3 assists, 15 penalty minutes and a +1 rating. He was awarded his prize prior to the Blades last home game.

- The Saskatoon Blades will have three players taking part in the upcoming CHL Subway Super Series. Both Blades forward Josh Nicholls and team captain Duncan Siemens will take part in the event for Team WHL. Saskatoon goaltender Andrey Makarov will also be a part of Team Russia for the event as he is expected to dress for atleast one of the two games between the WHL and Russia.

The WHL edition of the event takes place November 16th and 17th from Regina and Moose Jaw. Last season the Blades also had 3 players compete in the events as Stefan Elliott, Darian Dziurzynski and Curtis Hamilton all participated.

- Finally, we continue to work closely with the Canadian Hockey League to put together more information on Memorial Cup ticket packages. No details have been finalized, but we can assure all fans that the easiest way to be assured seats to the event is to get Saskatoon Blades season tickets as soon as possible.
