Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen moved into sole possession of first place in the Central Division following a 5-0 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors Friday night at the Pengrowth Saddledome.
Joel Broda scored a natural hat trick in the win and now leads the Hitmen with 24 goals while Jimmy Bubnick with his 18th and Brandon Kozun with his 23rd also scored.
Martin Jones made 23 saves for his third shutout of the season and 11th of his career.
Special teams played a large role as Calgary went 3-6 on the powerplay while killing all six Moose Jaw chances.
Calgary, now 31-15-1-1, will continue their home stand Sunday afternoon when they host the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Game time is 2:00 p.m. at the Pengrowth Saddledome.
