Caedan Bankier Signs with the Minneosta Wild

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Bill Guerin today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed forward Caedan Bankier to a three-year, entry-level contract starting with the 2023-24 season.

Bankier, 20 (1/26/03), has recorded 62 points (30-32=62) and a plus-19 rating in 44 games with the Kamloops Blazers in the Western Hockey League (WHL) this season. He has tallied 22 multi-point games, including a four-point outing on Jan. 11 (1-3=4) and a hat trick on Oct. 14. Bankier ranks second on the Blazers in goals, fourth in points, tied for fourth in plus/minus and fifth in assists.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound native of White Rock, BC, Canada, owns 165 career points (69-96=165) in four seasons with Kamloops (189 games), with 47 penalty minutes and 25 power-play goals. Bankier also won a goal medal with team Canada in the 2022 IIHF World Junior Tournament. He registered one assist, eight shots and a plus-3 rating in seven games.

The Wild selected Bankier in the third round (86th overall) of the 2021 NHL Draft.
