Chase Wheatcroft Named WHL's Player of the Month

Prince George, BC - Two weeks after securing the WHL's Player of the Week, Cougars leading scorer Chase Wheatcroft has been now named the league's Player of the Month for February.

Wheatcroft finished February with 12 goals and 16 assists in 12 games. He recorded a point in 10 of those 12 games he played.

The 20-year-old finished the month with three consecutive multi-point games scoring 6 goals and 5 assists in that span.

Wheatcroft currently leads the WHL in power-play goals with 21. He also leads the Cougars in goals (40), points 84), and overtime winning goals (3).

Chase Wheatcroft is up to 40 goals and 48 assists this season.

Wheatcroft and the Cougars return to action tonight at the CN Centre to take on the Vancouver Giants at 7:00 PM.
