
Cade Cowell, Jackson Yueill Called to U.S. Men's National Team for Continental Clasico vs. Mexico

SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose Earthquakes Homegrown forward Cade Cowell and midfielder Jackson Yueill are among 23 players called to represent the United States Men's National Team in the inaugural Allstate Continental Clásico vs. Mexico on April 19.
The match will be broadcast live on TBS, Telemundo and Universo and streamed on HBO Max and Peacock. Coverage begins at 7 p.m. PT, with kickoff set for 7:22 p.m. Fans can follow the USMNT on Twitter (@USMNT), Instagram (@USMNT), Facebook, and the official U.S. Soccer App.

Cowell, 19, is the third youngest player on the roster and one of four players age-eligible for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. He has made two prior appearances for the senior national team, including his first start vs. Serbia on Jan. 26, 2023, in which he was named Man of the Match. He has previously represented the U.S. at the U16, U17 and U20 levels.
Cowell signed a Homegrown Player contract with the Quakes at 15 years of age ahead of the 2019 season and has tallied nine goals and 12 assists in 88 appearances (40 starts) since. He was named an MLS All-Star in 2021 at 17 years of age.
Yueill, 26, has made 16 prior appearances for the senior U.S. National Team, most recently appearing in a friendly vs. Bosnia on Dec. 19, 2021. He helped the U.S. win the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup, appearing in all three Group Stage matches, as well as the 2021 Concacaf Nations League. Yueill has previously represented the U.S. at the U18, U20, and U23 levels, and was voted team captain of the U23 side during the Concacaf Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship in 2021.
Yueill joined the Quakes as the sixth overall selection in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft. He has tallied 11 goals and 13 assists in 154 appearances (141 starts). Yueill has served as team captain since 2020.
