Buzz goes East to New Mexico
December 5, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Maywood Buzz News Release
Orange County, CA. Burrel Lee, GM and Head Coach of the ABA Orange County Buzz today announced that his team would again go east "though not as far as our trip to Florida" to meet the hot Gallup Talons and the tough New Mexico Style in a three game series next weekend. According to Lee, "We understood that there were some difficulties with that division and asked the league if we could fill in for some of the teams. Our guys like to travel and compete - and we felt that these would be good games. So, we're getting on Amtrak and heading east again. We hope that the Talons and Style let the people know because we're bringing former NBA star Cedric Ceballos with us and our goal is to get back on the winning track."
The games will include Friday and Saturday games in Gallup at 7pm and a Sunday game in Santa Fe before heading back to Orange County. For more information, email blee@ocbuzz.net or visit www.ocbuzz.net or www.abalive.com.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
