FLORENCE, KY - The Traverse City Beach Bums(7-13) got the tying run on base in the ninth inning but ultimately fell to the Florence Freedom(7-13), 5-3.

After advancing to third on a fly out, he scored on a passed ball. Jose Vargas followed by cranking a solo homer over the left field wall for his second of the season, and Traverse City led 2-0.

Florence cut the lead in half in the second on an RBI double by Josh Henderson. Then, in the third, and with men on second and third, Richard Seigel hit a grounder off the pitcher, Jacob Lanning.
