Durham Bulls News Release
Durham, NC - The International League today announced Durham Bulls Manager John Tamargo has been suspended indefinitely for bumping an umpire during Sunday's game against the Charlotte Knights.
With the Bulls leading 1-0 in the ninth inning, Tamargo was ejected after arguing that a one-out single by Charlotte outfielder Jerry Owens was foul. Tamargo bumped the first base umpire several times after the ejection.
Bulls bench coach Richie Hebner will serve as manager in the interim.
