San Francisco Bulls News Release

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls Professional Hockey Team, proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced today that center Brett Parnham and right wing Dale Mitchell have agreed to terms and will join the Bulls' Training Camp roster. The Bulls begin Training Camp on Saturday, October 5 at the Cow Palace.

"Dale is an effective goal-scorer and a high NHL pick," said SF Bulls President and Head Coach Pat Curcio. He's a proven winner with two Memorial Cups. Brett is a very skilled leader that will provide offense and leadership to our team."

Mitchell, 24, enters his fourth season of professional hockey. He was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the third round (74th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. Last season, the 5-foot, 9-inch, 212-pound, native of Etobicoke, Ontario, played in Austria with Dornbirn, finishing third on the team with 39 points (13 goals, 26 assists) in 52 games. Mitchell has 62 games of American Hockey League (AHL) experience. He totaled 16 points (7 goals, 9 assists) and 35 penalty minutes split between the Toronto Marlies and Syracuse Crunch. He has also produced 35 points (18 goals, 17 assists) in 40 games with the Reading Royals of the ECHL. Prior to turning pro, Mitchell won two Memorial Cups with the Windsor Spitfires in 2009 and 2010, when he was an alternate captain. In 293 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) games, he registered 294 points (136 goals, 158 assists) and 354 penalty minutes.

"I'm excited to get back to North America and give myself an opportunity to play here," said Mitchell. "I want to succeed with San Francisco and hope to get a call up to the AHL. I've never played anywhere that's warm during the winter, so I'm interested in experiencing that."

Parnham, 24, spent the last two seasons playing in Russia and Kazakhstan. The 5-foot, 9-inch, 180-pound, native of Orillia, Ontario, last played in North America in 2010-11 with the Utah Grizzlies. In 95 games with Utah over two seasons, Parnham recorded 45 points (21 goals, 24 assists) and 62 penalty minutes. In juniors, Parnham was a sniper for the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League. He led Oshawa in scoring in 2008-09 with 50 goals and 76 points in 65 games. In 243 total games in the OHL with Oshawa and the Sudbury Wolves, Parnham totaled 199 points (110 goals, 89 assists) and 185 penalty minutes.

"I'm looking forward to playing under Pat again, since I did in Utah," said Parnham. "I know a handful of guys from playing in Oshawa and from my area: Belan, Mitchell and Josh Kidd. Belan has told me nothing but good things about the organization and city."
