June 24, 2022 - Eastern League (EL)
Harrisburg Senators News Release

The Akron RubberDucks retained their lead in the division with two games remaining in the first half by beating the Senators 3-1 Friday night at Canal Park. Harrisburg scored first on an unearned run in the second inning, but the lead didn't last long as Akron parlayed a hit batter and two walks into two runs to take the lead. The lead was extended in the fifth on a solo home run by George Valera. The Sens had baserunners throughout the night but failed to capitalize in the loss.

Steven Fuentes started and went three innings. He allowed two runs in the second on one hit and a sacrifice fly. He walked three and hit two batters. The bullpen of Richard Guasch, Andrew Lee and Zach Brzykcy was outstanding. They combined to go five innings allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out five batters.

Jake Alu had two hits including his 19th double. Drew Millas had two hits including the Senators lone RBI. Andrew Young reached base twice on a single and a walk.

The loss was a season-high seventh straight for the Senators. The Senators went 1-for-6 with runners in scoring position, stranding eight runners including five in scoring position with two outs.
