
Bullfrogs Sweep Wisconsin

The Bullfrogs completed a two game sweep of the Wisconsin Woodchucks on Wednesday afternoon, winning 9-5 at Joannes Stadiuim.
Green Bay opened up the scoring in the second inning. Brian Celsi doubled home Alex Abrams from first base to give Green Bay a 1-0 lead. This was Celsi's first extra base hit of the season.
The Woodchucks took the lead in the top of the third. With two outs, Gage Green singled home Eric Filia-Snyder and Brenden Hayden to make the score 2-1 in favor of Wisconsin.
The Bullfrogs took the lead and opened the game up with a six run fourth inning. The Bullfrogs batted around in the inning. Chris Hoo, Jason McMurray, Brian Celsi, Mac Acker, David, Armendariz, and Duncan McAlpine all scored runs for the Bullfrogs in the inning as Green Bay took a 7-2 lead.
Green Bay starter Taylor Black allowed an unearned run in the fifth inning as the Woodchucks cut into the Bullfrog lead. Madison Carter reached on an error to begin the inning and was driving in on a JD Davis two out single.
The Bullfrogs tacked on two more runs in the later innings. In the sixth, David Armendariz scored on a Justin Seager single, and in the seventh Alex Abrams hit his first home run of the year, a solo shot to right field to give Green Bay a 9-3 lead.
Wisconsin added two more in the ninth inning when Eric Filia-Snyder hit his first home run of the season, a solo shot of Green Bay reliever Robb Woodcock to make the score 9-5.
Taylor Black (4-0) earned the victory. He allowed two earned runs in five innings of work. Robb Woodcock earned his first save of the year. He allowed two earned runs in four innings of relief.
