The Bullfrogs dropped to 3-5 in the second half of the season on Friday night, falling to the Battle Creek Bombers 7-6 in a dramatic game at CO Brown Stadium.

The Bullfrogs took a 3-0 lead on three unearned runs in the first inning. David Armendariz came home to score on an error by Battle Creek first baseman Jeremy Shay. Later, Jason McMurray drove home Billy Moon and Justin Seager with a two-out, two-run single.

The Bullfrogs added one more in the fourth inning when Collin Shaw came home on an error by Dylan Delaney at shortstop.

The Bombers added one in the fifth when Conor Costello scored on a Colin Willis RBI and another in the sixth inning via a Sikes Orvis RBI to cut Green Bay's lead in half. Through six it was 4-2 in favor of the Bullfrogs.

The Bullfrogs appeared comfortably ahead after taking a 6-2 lead in the top of the seventh inning. Justin Seager came around when Jason McMurray grounded into an RBI fielder's choice. McMurray later scored on an RBI single by Collin Shaw.

The Bombers rallied and took the lead for good with a five run bottom half of the seventh. Collin Willis, Dan Rockett, Sikes Orvis, Dylan Delaney, and Conor Costello all score runs for the Bombers in the frame on RBI base hits from Orvis, Costello, and AJ Spanel.

All five runs in the seventh were unearned and were given up by Bud Jeter (1-4) who took the loss on the night.

The Bullfrogs rallied in the ninth inning. With two outs and the bases clear, Chris Hoo walked and Alex Abrams and Collin Shaw each singled. On Shaw's single to left field, Abrams rounded second base and got caught too far off. He was tagged out for the third out to end the game.
