February 13, 2007 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hamilton Bulldogs News Release

The Hamilton Bulldogs have some exciting community initiatives planned in the coming weeks and are also running a number of ongoing and upcoming promotions.

REX GOUDIE NIGHT!

Canadian Idol runner-up, Rex Goudie, will be visiting the Dog Pound on Friday, February 23rd when the Hamilton Bulldogs take on the Syracuse Crunch at Copps Coliseum.

Goudie was a contestant on CTV's third season of Canadian Idol and finished in second behind winner Melissa O'Neil. In September 2005, Goudie signed a major recording contract with Sony BMG. His album "Under the Lights" debuted at #5 on the Canadian charts, selling 36,000 CDs in its first week. The album was certified gold in Canada 23 days after its release and was certified platinum by the Canadian Recording Industry Association, and yielded two hit singles including the #1 charting hit "Run". Rex also completed two successful tours that spanned the country, and was recognized with nominations at the 2005 Juno Awards in the highly prestigious categories of "Artist of the Year" and "Album of the Year."

To find out how you can have the opportunity to meet Rex before the game on February 23rd, contact Theresa Boisvert at 905-777-2374 or via email at theresa.boisvert@hamiltonbulldogs.com.

SEAN CORNER BENEFIT NIGHT

The Hamilton Bulldogs, in conjunction with the Hamilton Hornets Rugby Football Club, will host "Sean Corner Benefit Night" on Friday, March 30th at 7:30 p.m. when the Bulldogs host the Grand Rapids Griffins at Copps Coliseum.

Sean Corner, a 21 year-old star both in the classroom and on the rugby field, has been a six-year member of the Hamilton Hornets. Corner, a former Hill Park High School graduate and Mohawk College Mountaineers alumni, suffered a spinal cord injury during a rugby game on September 9th, 2006.
