
Bulldogs lose to Manitoba

DRYDEN, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs concluded their 2004 preseason schedule with a 4-2 loss against the Manitoba Moose in Dryden, Ontario on Saturday night. The Bulldogs finished the preseason with a record of one win and four losses.
The Moose were led offensively by Justin Morrison, who scored the opening goal and the game-winning goal for Manitoba. Also scoring for the Moose were Ryan Kesler and Tomas Mjozis.
Hamilton's goals were scored by Jonathan Ferland and Philippe Plante. The goal scored by Plante was his third of the preseason.
In goal, Bulldogs goaltender Dan Ellis made 27 saves in the loss. Alex Auld earned the victory for Manitoba by stopping 37 of the 39 shots he faced.
The Bulldogs scored once on their 10 power play opportunities. Manitoba earned two goals on five chances with the man-advantage.
The Hamilton Bulldogs will open the 2004-05 regular season on the road on Friday, October 15th, when they make their first ever visit to Edmonton to face the Road Runners.
