Brantford Bulldogs News Release
HAMILTON, ONTARIO. The Bulldogs ran out of steam in the 3rd period Sunday afternoon losing 6-2 to the Sudbury Wolves at FirstOntario Centre.
The Wolves got to work fast netting the first and only goal of the 1st period just 52 seconds into the game to make it 1-0.
Coming out with some energy to start the 2nd, Liam Van Loon (8) tied the game 1-1 just 19 seconds into the period. However, Sudbury's special teams went to work picking up goals short-handed and on the power play to end the period with a 3-1 lead.
A good start to the 3rd period for Hamilton as Isaac Nurse (14) buried a wrist shot from the top of the face-off circle to bring the Bulldogs to within one at 3-2, but the Wolves scored three unanswered goals down the stretch to cruise to the 6-2 win.
3 STARS:
1) Darian Pilon (SBY) 2) Quinton Byfield (SBY) 3) Isaac Nurse (HAM)
The Bulldogs return to the ice next weekend when they host the Ottawa 67's Friday, March 1st at FirstOntario Centre at 7 pm.
