Bulldogs Look to Extend Points Streak to 25 Games

The Hamilton Bulldogs will look to extend their 24-game point streak as they play four games this week. The Bulldogs will host the Lowell Lock Monsters for the only time this season on Wednesday, January 15th (7:00 p.m.) at Copps Coliseum. Then on Friday, January 17th (7:00 p.m.) and Saturday, January 18th (2:00 p.m.) the Saint John Flames will visit Hamilton for the first time this season. The Bulldogs will conclude the week on Sunday, January 19th (6:05 p.m.) by trying to set an AHL record for consecutive road wins as they visit the Americans in Rochester. The Bulldogs tied the AHL record of 13 consecutive road wins when they defeated the Maple Leafs 5-1 at Mile One Stadium in St. John's back on January 8th.

Currently the Bulldogs lead the AHL with a record of 32 wins, 6 losses, 3 ties and 3 overtime losses. Hamilton has 70 points on the season and a 14-point lead over Houston and Providence for first place overall in the AHL.

BULLDOGS HAVE FIVE PLAYERS & TWO COACHES GOING TO ALL-STAR C! LASSIC:

Five players and two coaches from the Hamilton Bulldogs will be participating in the 2003 Dodge AHL All-Star Classic in Portland, Maine on February 2nd & 3rd. Representing the Canadian AHL All-Star Team as starters from the Hamilton Bulldogs are goaltender Mathieu Garon and the AHL's top two scorers, Benoit Gratton and Jason Ward. The Bulldogs will have goaltender Ty Conklin and defenceman Mike Komisarek represent the PlanetUSA AHL All-Star Team. Also, Bulldogs' head coach Claude Julien and assistant Geoff Ward will coach the PlanetUSA All-Stars. Bulldogs fans can watch all their Hamilton AHL All-Stars on Rogers Sportsnet.

BULLDOGS GAIN EXPERIENCE IN LINDSAY:

The Montreal Canadiens, a parent club of the Hamilton Bulldogs, assigned left-winger Bill Lindsay to Hamilton. Lindsay, a 31-year-old native of Fernie, British Columbia, has played in a total of 753 NHL games and has accumulated 83 goals, 141 assists and 224 points, along with 897 penalty minutes. This season he played in 19 games with the Canadiens earning two assists and 23 penalty minutes.

The Hamilton Bulldogs have announced as promised the opportunity for fans to weigh in on the name of Hamilton's professional AHL team. 'You Make The Call' also will allow fans the opportunity to choose the colour scheme their team will wear. Fans are encouraged to visit any Hamilton Tim Hortons franchise to fill in a ballot choosing one of the three names: 'Bulldogs', 'Canadiens', or 'Habs'; as well as the colour scheme that the team will wear: 'Blue, White, Red and Bronze' (current) or 'Red, White & Blue' (Montreal Canadiens). Fans will also have an opportunity to win two tickets to a select Bulldogs' game in weekly draws by just entering their ballot at Tim Hortons locations throughout the greater Hamilton area.

Hamilton Bulldogs fans can listen to all the Bulldogs home and road action this season on Hamilton's 820 CHAM-AM. Derek Wills provides all the play-by-play, while Hamilton radio personality Al Craig is the colour commentator for all home games and select road games.
