Hamilton, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Abbotsford Heat 3-0 in front of 3,415 fans at Copps Coliseum. The win was the 'Dogs seventh shutout of the season and Cedrick Desjardins' fourth as he recorded 20 saves for the win.

The Bulldogs opened the scoring at 13:00 of the second stanza with a shorthanded goal. David Desharnais stripped the puck from a Heat player at centre ice before skating in alone on Abbotsford starting goaltender Matt Keetley. Desharnais used a backhand-to-forehand move before sliding the puck past an out of position Keetley. Following the goal, the fans threw 1,550 stuffed toys to the ice for the annual stuffed toy toss night at Copps Coliseum.

The 'Dogs added their second goal at 1:03 of the final frame. While on a power play, Mathieu Carle blasted a shot from the point that was saved by Keetley. The loose puck bounced onto the stick of Grant Stevenson, who fired a shot past the goaltender.

Brock Trotter sealed the win with an empty net marker at 18:53 of the final frame. Stevenson and Ryan Russell recorded assists on the goal.
