Chicago Wolves News Release

The Chicago Wolves have partnered with ICE Company to present a series of summer hockey camps, beginning in July 2010.

Wolves Skating and Skills Coach KENNY McCUDDEN, who is the director of ICE Company, will lead the six camps. Each five-day camp will include more than 10 hours of ice time - with a focus on skating, stick-handling, passing and shooting - classroom sessions and dry-land training from the area's top skill development coaches.

Camps also will include special visits from current and former Wolves players, and each camper will receive a special Wolves jersey.

"The Wolves have done an excellent job of reaching out to the youth hockey community since their inception in 1994, and I am excited about partnering with them for this new venture," McCUDDEN said.

McCUDDEN has been the Wolves' skating and skills coach for 11 seasons, and trains National Hockey League prospects for the Atlanta Thrashers. He has spent 20 years working with Chicago-area children, and is one of only a handful of skating coaches to work with both NHL professionals and children learning to skate. NHL veterans Chris Drury of the New York Rangers, Scott Gomez of the Montreal Canadiens and Alex Tanguay of the Tampa Bay Lightning are just a handful of the pros that have trained with McCUDDEN.

"Kenny has been working with Chicago's young hockey players for more than two decades, and we are honored that he has agreed to partner with the Wolves to provide kids with a tremendous summer hockey experience," said Wolves President MIKE POLISKY.

The schedule and location for the 2010 camps are as follows: July 5-9, Crystal Ice House in Crystal Lake; July 12-16, Glenview Ice Arena; July 19-23, Franklin Park Ice Arena; July 26-30, West Meadows Ice Arena in Rolling Meadows; August 2-6, Hoffman Estates Community Center and Ice Arena; and August 9-13, Fox Valley Ice Arena in Geneva.

The cost for each week-long session is $325.
