
Bulldogs Aquire Krassey and Picks

HAMILTON, ONT. - The Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Club announced today they have acquired forward Evan Krassey and four draft picks from the Niagara IceDogs for forward Stephen Harper and Barrie's 7th round pick in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection.
George Burnett, Head Coach and General Manager says, "Stephen has had a terrific first half of the season here in Hamilton." He adds, "This is the right decision for our organization and we expect a number of the veterans in our room to take advantage of this opportunity to lead and flourish."
Krassey, 17, has played 18 games this season for Niagara and another 11 for the Fort Erie Meteors of the GOJHL. The 6'3, 194 pound right winger played his minor hockey in Thunder Bay. "I'm very excited to join the Hamilton Bulldogs,"Â says Krassey, "I am looking forward to the opportunity and can't wait to get to work."
Burnett calls Krassey a, "Big body physical forward who skates well and competes each shift."
The Bulldogs also receive Windsor's 3rd round pick in 2016, Windsor's 2nd round pick in 2017, Niagara's 2nd round pick in 2020, and Kitchener's 5th round pick in 2018.
"We want to thank Stephen for his play and his commitment to the Hamilton Bulldogs this season,"Â says Steve Staios, Bulldogs president. "At this time it is in the best interest of the hockey club to make this trade. We believe in the players that we have and with the added ice time, we expect them to excel."
