Windsor Spitfires News Release

Brendan Lemieux is our Precision Jewellers Player of the Month for December.

Lemieux had a remarkable month scoring 10 goals and adding four assists to go along with a +1 rating in just seven games after being acquired from the Barrie Colts on December 10th .

The 19-year-old left winger is tied for the team lead in goals with 20, and is currently riding a 16-game point streak. The Denver, Colorado native was originally drafted in the 2nd round (31st overall) by the Buffalo Sabres at the 2014 NHL Draft.

He signed with the Winnipeg Jets in July after being acquired as part of the Evander Kane trade.

Lemieux has rejuvenated the Spitfires power play, which has gone 10-for-31 (32.3%), recording five power play goals in December since his arrival.

Congrats to Pepe, who will be recognized prior to our next home game, Thursday, January 7th, against the Owen Sound Attack.
