
Bugs Shutout Thunder

BOSSIER CITY, LA- The Wichita Thunder suffered a 1-0 defeat to the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs on Thursday night.
Tim Boron saved 28 of 29 shots, but former Thunder forward Travis Clayton's power play goal in the first period proved to be the difference maker. Wichita outshot the Mudbugs 31 to 29. The Thunder is now 0-6-1 this season when outshooting their opponents.
Former Thunder goaltender Jon Horrell earned credit for the shutout, the first against the Thunder this season.
The Thunder played with just seven forwards and five defensemen due to injuries.
Wichita returns home to host the Mudbugs on Saturday night at the Kansas Coliseum. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. For tickets, call the Thunder office at 264-GOAL.
