
'Bugs Renew Radio Partnership with GAP Broadcasting

BOSSIER CITY, LA - The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs of the Central Hockey League today announced the renewal of their radio partnership with GAP Broadcasting, LLC for the 2009-2010 season. Mudbugs games will once again be aired on "The Home of the Legends" AM 1130 KWKH and News Radio 710 AM KEEL, with play-by-play announcer Travis Huntington returning as the "Voice of the Mudbugs".
This season marks the tenth straight year that Mudbugs hockey has been carried on KWKH and KEEL, two of the region's leaders in sports programming. AM 1130 KWKH features a classic country music format, but also airs the best in Louisiana sports programming with the Mudbugs, New Orleans Saints, LSU Tigers, local High School football and much more. News radio 710 AM KEEL is your most dependable local radio news source and also broadcasts Sunday NFL games and Arkansas Razorback football in addition to Mudbugs hockey.
If you can't tune in for Mudbugs hockey live on the airwaves, both stations are also equipped with free online streaming so you can listen on the web at www.kwkhonline.com and www.710keel.com . Calling all the action once again this year will be play-by-play broadcaster Travis Huntington, who returns for his third season as the "Voice of the Mudbugs". Huntington has been nominated for the CHL's Broadcaster of the Year award in back-to-back years and was also selected to provide play-by-play coverage of the 2009 CHL All-Star Game in Loveland, Colorado.
The Mudbugs will begin the 2009-2010 season on Friday, Oct. 16 against the Laredo Bucks at the CenturyTel Center. Season ticket packages and mini-plans are available now, so call (318) 752-BUGS or stop by the team office inside CenturyTel Center for more information.
