Buffalo Destroyers News Release

(BUFFALO, NY)- The Buffalo Destroyers have teamed up with the Buffalo City School District to assist the schools in their fund raising effort.

Over 55,000 students in the city school district will have the opportunity to sell tickets for the Destroyers June 28th game vs. Arizona at the HSBC Arena. For each ticket sold, 60% of the cost after taxes will be donated to the student's school.

The student that sells the highest dollar amount will receive two tickets to sit in the owners box on June 28th and will receive two season tickets for the 2003 season. The school that sells the highest dollar amount will receive a Destroyers day at their school with the team's mascot Crunch, the Buffalo Bombshells and the Destroyers staff. Any student that sells over $500 in tickets will receive a pair of season tickets for the 2003 season.

"With the support of State Senator Byron Brown, Superintendent Marion Canedo and PTO President Kinzer Pointer, we are sure this program will be a great success," said Destroyers director of ticket operations Bill Kay. "This is a true win-win situation. The schools have an opportunity to raise a lot of money and we have the opportunity to expose our game to thousands of new fans. In doing so, it shows the Buffalo Destroyers commitment to the local community and the communities commitment to the Destroyers."
