Buffalo Activates Demary

(BUFFALO, NY)- The Buffalo Destroyers announced today OL/DL Silas Demary has been activated from injured reserve and will be in the lineup Friday night against the Los Angeles Avengers. The team also elevated FB/LB Mike Guazzo to the active roster from the practice squad.

Demary appeared in seven games for Buffalo before injuring his left knee in San Jose on March 14. He has 6.5 tackles, two sacks (second on the team), two tackles for loss and two forced fumbles (tied for third in the AFL).

"We are very excited to get Silas back in the lineup," said Destroyers head coach Ron Selesky. "Silas is one of the top pass rushers in the league. He has played hurt most of this season, but he is back to full strength now.

Guazzo was on the 24-man roster for the first seven weeks of the season seeing action in one game, the season opener against Grand Rapids, posting one tackle. He signed with the practice squad on March 21.

The team has placed OL/DL Donovan Arp on injured reserve after he dislocated his left elbow last Friday against Orlando. FB/LB Eddie Diaz will be signed to back to the practice squad as well.

Buffalo completes its three game road trip on the west coast to meet the Los Angeles Avengers Friday, April 18 at the Staples Center at 10:30 p.m. The game will air on the Destroyers Radio Network and their flagship station 107.7 FM WNSA.

The Destroyers return home Saturday, April 26 to host the Indiana Firebirds at 7:00 p.m. at the HSBC Arena.
