Carolina Cobras News Release
CHARLOTTE Â After forcing the Arena Football League's hottest team to overtime last week, the Carolina Cobras will look to break into the win column this Friday when they host the Georgia Force at the Charlotte Coliseum at 7:30 p.m. Carolina never trailed in regulation against the Tampa Bay Storm last Friday before eventually falling 45-38 in the extra period.
Carolina and Georgia have met once this season with the Force taking a 45-37 victory on March 15 at The Arena at Gwinnett Center. In that game, the Cobras rallied from a 20-point first quarter deficit to cut the lead to three late in the third quarter before the Force pulled away for the win.
Country music sensation Ricochet will highlight the Cobras' total entertainment experience with a special postgame concert and National Anthem performance. The first 10,000 fans in attendance will be greeted at the turnstiles with free 24"x 36" posters of the Cobras dance team, the Snake Charmers, as well as a Cobras rally towel courtesy of St. Lawrence Homes.
To show support for U.S. troops overseas, the Cobras will donate $1.00 from every ticket sold to Friday night's game to the American Red Cross Phone Card Program. Fans will also have the opportunity to do their part. With a $10.00 donation to the Phone Card Program at the game, they will receive a coupon packet with a free car wash from Autobell, a free sandwich from Chick-Fil-A and a two-for-one ticket offer for the Cobras next home game against the Chicago Rush. The American Red Cross will also be holding a blood drive at the Charlotte Coliseum from 4:00-8:30 p.m.
Select players and Snake Charmers will be available to sign autographs on the concourse from 6:15 Â 7:00 p.m., and fans are welcome to come down to the playing field to meet the players and Snake Charmers and get free autographs immediately following the game.
Tickets for Friday's game and all remaining home games can be purchased at the Charlotte Coliseum box office, at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by phone at 704-522-6500. Single-game tickets for all 2003 home games are available in the following prices: $8 (lower level end zones), $15 (lower level corners), $25 (lower level sideline), $50 (lower level sideline) and $60 (field side).
Discounted tickets for groups of 10 or more are available and can be purchased by contacting the Cobras ticket office at 1-877-4COBRAS or 704-940-2300.
