LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League will look to snap their three-game losing streak tonight as they host the New Mexico Scorpions at the Laredo Entertainment Center. Game time is set for 7:30pm. Tonight also marks the return of the family four pack (four tickets, four hot dogs, for drinks) starting for the low family price of $48. The Bucks open a three-game home stand tonight and will face the Scorpions for the third time this season looking to repeat the results, and snap their losing streak. The Bucks will play five of their next six games at home.
After starting the season 10-0, the Bucks have lost three straight, and four of their last five games, including losing all three on their just comlpleted eight day road trip.
The Bucks could not hold a 3-0 lead in Wednesday's loss in Odessa, as the Jackalopes scored twice in the final 12 minutes to tie the game, and eventually won in a shootout 4-3. Jeff Bes scored a goal, and handed out an assist, with rookie Matt Summers dishing out two assists to lead the Bucks. Dustin Traylen took the loss in net while making 39 saves, falling to 6-3-1 after starting the season 5-0.
Bes (12-17=29) is tied for the CHL scoring lead with Rocky Mountain's Scott Wray with 29 points. Chris Korchinksi (8-12=20 )is tied for eighth in the league with 20 points, with James Hiebert (10-8=18) 13th with 18 points.
The Bucks are also struggling on their power-play, going 1-33 in their last six games, including 0-14 on the three game road trip.
New Mexico is in the middle of a four-game road trip through south Texas, falling Wednesday night in Rio Grande Valley 5-2. The Scorpions have won six of their last eight games and are led in scoring by Konrad Reeder (8-11=19).
Mike Minard has played the majority of the games in net for New Mexico, going 5-4-1, with a 3.67 goals against average and a .891 save percentage.
The Bucks beat the Scorpions in the first two games of the season in Rio Rancho 8-2, and 5-4 in overtime. Traylen and Minard each played both games in net for the Bucks and Scorpions.
Laredo and New Mexico will meet again Saturday night at 7:30pm at the LEC, ending the season series between the two teams.

*Forward Jeff Genovy has been activated from the 30-day IR and will be in the line-up for the first time this season tonight.
*Rookie defenseman Tyler Harder has been activated from the 14-day IR and will return to the line-up tonight
*Rookie forward Corey Courchene has been placed on the 30-day IR.
