The Waterloo Bucks (9-24) dropped game 1 of their Monday doubleheader with Thunder Bay (12-22) by a 2-0 final.
Christian Griffin threw well for Waterloo, striking out 5 and allowing just 2 earned runs on 3 hits over 5.0 innings.
Trey Leonard, Angelo Altavilla, and Patrick Ferguson each went 1-3 to account for the Bucks' lone 3 hits.
Waterloo and Thunder Bay will continue their doubleheader at approximately 1:35 pm CST.
