Waterloo Bucks News Release
Waterloo, Iowa - The Waterloo Bucks have announced special activities and a ticket special for their Thursday, July 17 game featuring an appearance by Mountain Man from A&E's hit television show Duck Dynasty. Mountain Man will sign autographs, take photos with fans, and be a guest public address announcer. In addition, Mountain Man will be the judge of an on-field Duck Calling competition in the game's second inning and a "Best Beard" competition for fans in the fifth inning. Fans who are interested in participating in the Duck Calling or Best Beard competition are encouraged to contact the Bucks front office at (319) 232-0500.
The Bucks are offering a special "Mountain Man All-Inclusive Ticket Package." For $11 per person, a fan can get a box seat ticket, a sandwich item, a bag of chips, and a regular sized fountain soda. With a value of $16, the package may be purchased by calling the Bucks ticket office at (319) 232-5633 or at the Riverfront Stadium Ticket Window on the day of the game while the limited availability lasts.
Mountain Man is known to the show's millions of hard-core fans as the slow-talking air-conditioning repairman/radio host who is a neighbor to the Robertsons, the Louisiana family that made a fortune from its best-selling duck calls, and around which the show is based. Mountain Man is the only semi-regular cast member who is not a Robertson family member or employee of Duck Commander.
Debuting in March of 2012, Duck Dynasty has become A&E's most-watched series in the network's history. The August 14, 2013 season 4 premier tallied a whopping 11.8 million viewers - the largest audience ever for a non-fiction cable series. It is cable's top reality program this year, and the No. 2 original series overall.
On July 17, the Bucks host the Alexandria Blue Anchors with gates opening at 5:30 pm and first pitch slated for 6:35 pm. The game is the first game of a four-game homestand for the Bucks.
The Bucks begin a four-game homestand tonight, beginning with a 6:35 tilt versus the Kalamazoo Growlers. For more information, call the Bucks' Ticket Line at (319) 232-5633. All 72 games may be heard on 1330 AM ESPN (KWLO). Fans are encouraged to stay in touch with the Bucks during the season by utilizing their website at www.waterloobucks.com.
