Laredo looks to get back in the win column tonight, as they gave up four third period goals in a 5-2 loss to Austin last night.

Last night's defeat was just the Bucks second loss in regulation when leading after two periods this season (21-2-1).

The Ice Bats scored four straight goals in the third starting at the 3:11 mark, when Brendan Cook scored his second power-play goal of the night to tie the game at 2-2. Mike Bartlett followed giving Austin a 3-2 edge at the 5:58 mark of the third. Austin would tack on two more goals to frustrate the Bucks.

Last night Jeff Bes picked up an assist in the loss last night, giving him 73 points for the season. Bes' 73 points puts him second in the CHL behind Arizona's Alex Leavitt who leads the league with 75 points.

Laredo comes into tonight's game with a six point lead over Arizona (26-14-4, 56pts) for the number one seed in the Southern Conference playoffs. The Bucks have 18 games remaining, while the Sundogs have 20 left to play.

The Bucks have struggled on the road recently, coming in at 11-9-2 away from home, with six of their next nine contests away from the LEC.

Austin comes in just three points back of the fifth and final playoff spot in the South behind Corpus Christi and Amarillo, who each have 38 points.

With his two power-play goals last night, Cook stretched his team-leading point total to 38.

The Bucks and Ice Bats will do battle again Sunday at the LEC. For Sunday's game Family Four Pack tickets are available for $48 (a $79 value). The Family Four Pack consists of four tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas for $48. Call 718-BUCK (2825) to order yours today.
