Buccaneers Hosting Waterloo on College Night

The Des Moines Buccaneers host the Waterloo Black Hawks Tuesday, March 29th, on College Night.

Des Moines is on a winning streak coming off a weekend home and home sweep of the Western Conference leading Tri-City Storm. Last Friday in Kearney, Nebraska Mark Senden scored a goal for his first USHL point early in the 3rd period to break open a scoreless game, Patrick Grasso added an empty netter for his 100th USHL point and Nick MacNab made 45 saves in his first USHL shutout as Des Moines won 3-0. The next night at Buccaneer Arena Grasso had 2 goals and an assist as the Buccaneers erased an early 2-0 Tri-City lead to come away victorious by a score of 6-3. Des Moines won the season series against Tri-City 4-2.

Tonight the Waterloo Black Hawks, currently 3rd in the Western Conference and a team the Buccaneers have their eyes on as they try to claw their way back into the playoff picture. In the Des Moines/Waterloo season series the home team has won every game and the Buccaneers will try to keep that trend going tonight at Buccaneer Arena.
