
Bruins Set Pre-season Schedule

Providence, RI -- The Providence Bruins, member of the American Hockey League, announced today their pre-season schedule for the 2005-06 season, the 14th in franchise history. The Black and Gold, led by Head Coach Scott Gordon, will play a four-game schedule before beginning the regular season on Friday, October 14th at 7:05 p.m. against the Portland Pirates at the Dunkin' Donuts Center, Providence.
The Bruins begin the pre-season on Tuesday, September 27th at 7:05 p.m., when they take on the Hartford Wolfpack at the Bradford R. Boss Arena on the University of Rhode Island campus. They also travel to the Mass Mutual Center (Springfield, MA) for a game against the Springfield Falcons on Friday, September 30th at 7:30 p.m.
The Bruins finish the pre-season with a home-and-home series against the Pirates beginning on Saturday, October
1st at 7:05 p.m. at the Portland Ice Arena (Portland, ME). The teams wrap up the pre-season on Sunday, October 2nd at 5:00 p.m. at the Bridgewater (Massachusetts) Ice Arena.
"Playing pre-season games at local rinks has become a tradition for the Providence Bruins," said Team Co-President Jeff Fear. "As an organization, we are committed to being a part of the Rhode Island and southern Massachusetts' communities and the pre-season games at area rinks play a big part in that."
