
Bruins fall to Portland

Providence, RI -- The Providence Bruins and Portland Pirates played the eighth game of their 10-game season series on Saturday night at the Dunkin' Donuts Center, with the Pirates taking a 5-1 decision. The Bruins remain tied with the Worcester IceCats for third place in the Atlantic Division with their 29-20-3-6 record (67 points).
Bruin center Brad Boyes scored his 25th goal of the season, with assists from Keith Aucoin and Dan LaCouture. Boyes, who has scored three goals in his last two games, ranks second on the team with 25-32-57 totals in 59 games. Aucoin has points (7-13-20) in 13 of his last 15 games.
Goaltender Matt Underhill made 21 saves and is 1-1-1 on the season..
The Bruins conclude their busy week when they host the Manchester Monarchs on Sunday afternoon at 4:05 p.m.
