The Chilliwack Bruins have acquired 18 year old forward Matt Ius from the Swift Current Broncos in exchange for 18 year old forward Liam Darragh.

Ius was originally selected by the Everett Silvertips in the second round (30th overall) of the 2005 Bantam Draft. In 98 games with with Everett and Swift Current, the 6'2", 210 pound right wing from Pitt Meadows BC has scored seven goals and eight assists.

"Matt is a big strong forward who plays physical. We feel he has good offensive potential as well and in the right situation should be able to help us offensively," commented Bruins General Manager Darrell May. "We would like to thank Liam for his contributions to the Bruins. He is a fine young man and we wish him the best."

Ius is expected to arrive in Chilliwack today and will be available when the Bruins host the Kamloops Blazers on Saturday.
