Brueggemann Earns Pitcher of the Week Honors

SAUGET, IL - Rockford Aviators right hander Kyle Brueggemann has been selected as Co-Frontier League Pitcher of the Week along side Washington WildThings righty Matt Sergey, as chosen by Pointstreak, the official statistical provider of the Frontier League and the Independent Professional Baseball Federation.
In two starts this week, Brueggemann went 14 innings, allowing just 10 hits and 1 earned run. One of those two outings was a 9 inning shutout. Brueggemann struck out 13 between those two outings, walking just 1. Between the two starts, Brueggemann picked up his fourth and fifth victories of the season for the Aviators. Brueggemann is in his second season with the Aviators and has also spent time pitching winter ball in the Australian Baseball League. The Olathe, Kansas native attended Cal Poly.
This is Brueggemann's first regular season award from the Frontier League.
