Broome Sports Foundation Scholarship Presentation And Jersey Auction Set For Friday

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today that Friday, April 2 as they host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins that the Broome Sports Foundation will present the 2010 Tommy Mitchell Memorial Scholarships in a special first intermission ceremony.

Ten local high school and college students have been chosen as 2010 recipients; Thomas Craig (Candor), Addison Lewis (Chenango Valley), Evan Lippolis (Windsor), Robert Lippolis (Windsor), Kevin Mahoney (Chenango Valley), Omar Mukhlis (Maine-Endwell), Matthew Schappert (Union-Endicott), Jonathan Stanley (Chenango Valley), Frank Vieira (Vestal), Anthony Wood (Chenango Valley).

Also, in a special live post-game auction the Binghamton Senators will auction off their second period jerseys from the 2010 Mirabito Outdoor Classic with all proceeds from the auction being donated to the Broome Sports Foundation.

Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $17.75 for side seating, $16.75 for end seating. Fans can purchase tickets at www.ticketmaster.com, by phone at 1-800-745-3000 or in person at the Binghamton Senators' executive office or the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena box office.
