WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY - One night after getting no hit, the Brooklyn Cyclones, the High-A affiliate of the New York Mets, responded thunderously with a 10-3 victory over the Hudson Valley Renegades to salvage the final game of the series Sunday evening at Dutchess Stadium.

BIG MOMENTS

Jeremy Vasquez bookended a six-run eighth inning, homering to start the frame and singling in a pair to end the barrage as 10 Cyclones came to the plate against Hudson Valley pitchers Matt Minnick and Charlie Ruegger.

Josh Hejka pitched perfect baseball across the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings, striking out one to keep the Renegades bats at bay.

Antoine Duplantis homered twice and Luis Gonzalez launched a solo job as Brooklyn peppered runs across the first three innings to take a 3-1 lead.

The Cyclones snapped their season-long seven-game losing streak. Brooklyn also snapped a nine-game skid against Hudson Valley.

*Antoine Duplantis collected the first multi-home run game of his career with a pair of solo shots. *

*Ed Blankmeyer was ejected in the third inning by home plate umpire Joe Belangia, arguing a caught stealing and balls and strikes. *

Brooklyn tied its best inning of the season, crossing six runs in the eighth for the second time this season.
