Starting pitcher Juan Peralta has been named the Laredo Broncos Player of the Week for the 5th week of June 27 - July 4th, 2010. 20-26. Juan Peralta pitched 13.2 innings, allowed only 6 hits, 3 earned runs with 16 strikeouts. He also got 2 wins in that week. Peralta was acquired from the Rio Grande White Wings earlier this season.
Peralta joined the WhiteWings after spending the two seasons in the Texas Rangers organization, where he compiled a 3-3 record with a 5.57 ERA. In 41 relief appearances, he picked up six saves. In 64.2 innings, he has struck out 67 while allowing 61 hits and 31 walks. Peralta spent last season with Spokane of the Northwest League.
