
Broncos Meet Warriors for Second of Four Meetings

Regina, Sask. - The Swift Current Broncos (2-7-1-0) have dropped back-to-back games following a 9-4 loss to the Regina Pats on Monday night. Their attention now turns to a team that has dropped their last five games, the Moose Jaw Warriors (4-5-1-0).
Monday the Broncos were down 3-1 after the first with Eric Houk tallying the lone goal. The game opened up in the second, with seven goals being scored and the Pats carrying a 7-4 lead into the final frame. Mathew Ward, Bode Hagan and Owen Williams scored for Swift Current, with Ward's goal being his first in the WHL.
The Pats added two more in the final frame to take the game 9-4. Tuesday was a much-needed full rest day for the Broncos, as they hadn't had two days off in between games since the beginning of the season.
Moose Jaw played Tuesday night, losing a close 3-2 game in overtime to the Pats. After scoring in regulation, Connor Bedard set up Layton Feist's overtime winner, handing the Warriors their fifth consecutive loss.
The losses have piled up for the Warriors following an impressive 4-1 start to the season. The loss of Ryder Korczak to an injury as he's missed the last four games for Moose Jaw.
Thursday afternoon is the second of four meetings this season between the two teams, with the Broncos not having a strong performance in the first meeting on March 20.
The Warriors won the game handily 5-1, going 4-for-8 on the power play, outshooting the Broncos 41-17 and dominating in the faceoff circle, winning 43 of 67 draws. Minnesota Wild prospect Daemon Hunt led the charge offensively for the Warriors in the game, scoring two five-on-three power-play goals.
