Swift Current Broncos News Release
The Swift Current Broncos partnered with Crescent Point Energy to host another edition of Broncos Crescent Point Hockey School at the Innovation Credit Union i-Plex.
Broncos skaters Kaden Elder, Tanner Nagel and Ethan Regnier were amongst several players and volunteers that donated their time to participate with 100 plus boys and girls in various activities on the ice and off the ice throughout the week.
Swift Current forward Mackenzie Wight enjoyed his first go around at Crescent Point Bronco Hockey School and mentioned how it brought back many memories.
"I remember growing up as a kid and going through these camps, living the dream and hanging out WHL players that you wanted to become," stated Wight. "The kids were excited to be around us and I had a lot of fun. Our group was great and we had as much fun as the kids did."
Along with Wight, Broncos forward Andrew Fyten and goaltender Isaac Poulter rounded out the crew of six Broncos that volunteered their time at camp.

Former Broncos Associate Coach Darren Evjen, who organizes the annual hockey school expressed how important the program is throughout the community of Swift Current.
"With the Broncos hockey school, it's just another way for us to reach the fan base in Swift Current," said Evjen. "It's important because a big chunk of our fan base is young kids and this is an opportunity for them to meet with Broncos players who are on the team. It reaches the city and it's real important as it helps grow Bronco nation."
The Swift Current Broncos also would like to thank Subway, KFC, A&W, Boston Pizza and Pizza Hut for providing lunch throughout the week.
Swift Current goes against the Saskatoon Blades on Friday, September 21st for their home opener. Call 306-773-1509 ext. 1 or stop by the Stable during regular box office hours to purchase and/or pick up season tickets for the 2018-19 campaign.
