Brockton Rox Invite Britney Spears

Brockton - The Brockton Rox of the independent Can-Am League would like to extend an invitation to pop icon Britney Spears and her baby to attend a Rox game and watch it from the Rox-a-Bye Baby Suite. The Rox-a-Bye Baby Suite is the only seating of its kind in any ballpark as it is specifically designed as a place for parents to bring their babies and children who need to be changed, fed, or otherwise taken care of, or just need a break from the crowd or weather. Access to the suite is free of charge. In addition, the Rox and their co-sponsor, the March of Dimes, will arrange for a child safety specialist to be in the suite from Brockton Hospital to help answer any of Ms. Spears' questions regarding caring for her child at home and a specialist from Brockton Kids Buckle Up in the Back, a local coalition working to reduce motor vehicle crash-related injuries to children ages 12 and under, to answer any concerns about driving with her baby.

Rox President Jim Lucas said, "I understand the pressures Britney must be under having one infant and one on the way. I have three kids all under the age of six." The suite has hanging mobiles, baseball-themed infant quilts hanging on the walls, and beautiful pictures of little babies and baseballs and has been endorsed by LaLeche International as mom-friendly. The suite is stocked with toys and baby and mother equipment that should keep Ms. Spears and her child safe and happy.

Lucas points out, "This is, of course, an alcohol-free suite and in Britney's case we will make sure that it is paparazzi-free as well. The special menu for the Rox-a-Bye Baby suite includes peanut butter-and-jelly sandwiches, milk, and cookies, but Britney can bring her own food as well."

The Rox are looking forward to a response from Britney or the baby on this invitation.

The Brockton Rox season begins Thursday, May 25 versus the New Haven Cutters and runs through the end of August.
