Britton Transferred to Norfolk, Thall Joins Bowie

BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce a pair of roster moves. LHP Zach Britton was transferred to class Triple-A Norfolk and LHP Chad Thall was transferred to Bowie from class Single-A Aberdeen. With the moves, the Baysox maintain a complete 24-man roster.

Britton is 7-3 with a 2.48 ERA in 15 games for the Baysox this season. The left-hander is the reigning Eastern League Pitcher of the Week and was recently selected to represent both the Western Division in the Eastern League All-Star game and the United States in the 12th Annual XM Futures Game Sunday, July 11, in Anaheim, Calif. He struck out 68 batters in 87.0 innings with Bowie, and led the Eastern League in with a 3.06 ground out-to-air out ratio.

Thall has appeared in 13 games in relief for the Baysox this year, going 1-0 with one save and a 3.93 ERA over 18.1 innings of work.
