A magnificent effort by Troy Terzi carried the Bristol Blues (22-14) to a 6-0 win over the Torrington Titans (15-18) on Thursday at Muzzy Field.
Terzi got the win for the Bristol Blues thanks to nine strikeouts. The Bristol Blues' pitcher gave up just four hits over eight shutout innings.
Everything was working at the plate for the the Bristol Blues in the fifth. In the inning the Bristol Blues scored four runs. The Bristol Blues scored in the fifth on an RBI single by Griffin Garabedian, an RBI double by Gerrad Rohan, and a two-run double by Rohan.
Rohan had two extra-base hits for the Bristol Blues.
Taylor Luciani couldn't get it done on the bump for the Torrington Titans, taking a loss. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
The Bristol Blues were sparked by Garabedian and Rohan, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.
