Bridgeport Islanders News Release
ALBANY, N.Y.- The Bridgeport Sound Tigers (39-23-2-1), proud AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, scored three unanswered goals on Wednesday and earned a 3-1 win over the Albany Devils (34-27-2-2) in their final meeting at Times Union Center.
Bracken Kearns, Ryan Pulock and Ben Holmstrom each found the back of the net, while Jaroslav Halak (17-7-3) was stellar between the pipes, stopping 26 of the 27 shots he faced.

Following a holding minor against Darren Nowick, Max Novak won the ensuing faceoff back to Yohann Auvitu, who brushed a pass across the blue line to Mozik at the left point. Mozik proceeded to hammer a one-time shot past Halak's glove at the 17:29 mark, just six seconds after the penalty was called.

Kearns made it 1-1 when he buried his team-leading 22nd goal on a feed from Carter Verhaeghe at the doorstep. Verhaeghe created the chance when he traveled down the right wing, set through the circle and found Kearns across the doorstep. The veteran forward knocked it home past goaltender Ken Appleby at 1:02 of the second.
Pulock notched the eventual game-winning tally at 11:42 of the middle frame with his 13th goal of the season. From the left point, Kane Lafranchise sent a cross-ice pass to Pulock on the right wing that Albany's Brian Gibbons attempted to intercept. Instead, he overcommitted and allowed Pulock to skate to the right circle uncontested and force a shot past Appleby's;
