
Hogs Host Country Night and Sock Drive on Saturday

The Rockford IceHogs face the Grand Rapids Griffins in the second game of the weekend home-and-home series on Saturday, March 25 at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The matchup is highlighted by Country Night, which features a cowboy boot mug giveaway compliments of Pepsi and Dusty Boots, and the fifth annual BMO Harris Bank Sock Drive.
Saturday, March 25 vs. Grand Rapids
Time: Puck drop is 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Country Night: The first 1,500 fans to enter the arena will receive a cowboy boot mug courtesy of Pepsi and Dusty Boots. In addition, the game will also include country music and country-themed contests throughout the evening.
BMO Harris Bank Sock Drive: The IceHogs host their fifth annual Rockford Sock Drive on Saturday night at the BMO. Fans are encouraged to bring new socks to any BMO Harris Bank location in Rockford from March 16-27, or to the BMO Harris Bank Center Saturday night. Fans who donate will receive one free upper endzone ticket to the IceHogs game on Wednesday, April 12 and a coupon for a 25-percent discount at Oink Outfitters, the official team store of the Rockford IceHogs. The socks will be donated to Project Undershare.
Also, now through Saturday, fans are invited to post a selfie while wearing their craziest socks with #BMOSockSelfie to be featured on the IceHogs video board during Saturday's game.
Postgame at Dusty Boots: After the game, fans can take their cowboy boot mugs to Dusty Boots (3907 Broadway) for drink specials.
Hammy Hustle 5K: The fourth annual MELTFEST, a local annual Rockford event celebrating the end of winter and the melting together of the community, will feature the "Hammy Hustle" 5K at 10 a.m. Saturday morning. The 5K route takes competitors THROUGH the BMO Harris Bank Center and past the ice where the IceHogs play, before continuing through downtown Rockford.
