Helena Brewers News Release
The Helena Brewers (10-20) split a double-header with the Great Falls Voyagers (13-17) on Thursday night at Centene Stadium.
The Voyagers would take game one by a score of 11-4, picking up play in the bottom of the third to finish off a game suspended due to rain last Wednesday.
Hunter Jones led the way offensively for Great Falls in game one, hitting two home runs and going 3-for-5 with four RBI.
Tucker Neuhaus was pushed to his final at-bat without a hit for a second straight game before picking up a double down the left field line. Neuhaus then went 2-for-2 in the second game and he is now on a 14-game hitting streak, the second longest streak for the team this season.
The Brewers would then come out on top 2-0 in game two, shutting out an opponent for just the second time this year.
Zach Hirsch was electric in the start, pitching six innings of shutout baseball and striking out 11. It was a team-high for strikeouts by a pitcher in a single game this year.
The Brewers and the Voyagers will face off in the finale of their three-game series Friday at Centene Stadium. First pitch is set for 7:00 p.m.
