
Bressan and Phelipe Megiolaro Return to FC Dallas for 2021 Season

FRISCO, Texas - FC Dallas defender Bressan has agreed to terms on a new, one-year contract with club options for the 2022 and 2023 seasons and goalkeeper Phelipe Megiolaro returns to FC Dallas on loan from Grêmio through the end of the 2021 season, the club announced today.
FC Dallas has the option to exercise a permanent transfer on Megiolaro's contract at the end of the 2021 season following the duration of the loan.
Bressan, 27, signed with FC Dallas from Grêmio on Dec. 21, 2018. He has appeared in 36 matches since he joined the club and has scored one goal and recorded three assists in 2,286 minutes played. Bressan made his MLS debut on April 13, 2018 against the Portland Timbers at Toyota Stadium.
Bressan spent six seasons with Grêmio, where he appeared in 157 matches across all competitions. He appeared in 13 matches for Grêmio in Copa Libertadores play between 2013-2018 and was part of the team that won the 2017 Copa Libertadores, starting in three matches including Leg Two of the 2017 Final. He also played for Flamengo and Juventude in Brazil, as well as Uruguayan Primera Division team Peñarol.
Megiolaro, 21, signed with FC Dallas on loan from Grêmio on Aug. 18, 2020. He made his FC Dallas debut on Nov. 8 against Minnesota United FC at Allianz Field. He made six saves in the 3-0 loss against the Loons.
Megiolaro was called up to the Brazil Olympic Roster on Oct. 24 for the November international window. Phelipe started in goal in Brazil's 3-1 win against South Korea U-23 National Team on Nov. 14. He was on the bench in the 2-1 loss against Egypt on Nov. 16.
